Today, Dren and I focused completely on guitar. We went through the basic ‘beginner’ chords (A C D Em G +), and practiced switching between different chord progressions. As Dren already has experience with piano and music theory, I luckily didn’t have to explain the whole ordeal of ‘why’ these chords work the way they do. We learned and practiced a couple songs that used the standard G C D chords, Rivers of Babylon by The Melodians and Sublime, and the Irish folk song Wild Rover. I would consider today to be pretty productive and successful, and look forward to the rest of the week.
